Civil Engineer - Senior

We are currently seeking a full time Civil Engineer – Senior. The successful candidate will be technically competent, flexible, client-focused and capable of performing a variety of civil engineering functions in support of a growing civil and environmental engineering firm. 

The work will entail working as a team member and independently on a variety of civil and environmental projects. Required Skills & Experience:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Required
  • 6 years of direct experience preferred
  • Working knowledge in AutoCAD Civil 3D Suite, Hydroflow, MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat
  • Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Management design
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory permit approval process including but not limited to wetlands, streams is desired
  • Site/civil construction plans and related construction specifications preparation
  • Design work and site construction plan review
  • Ability to attend Virginia Stormwater and Erosion and Sediment Control Classes and pass certification examinations.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Note: Applicant must have and maintain a driving record acceptable to EEC and its insurance carrier(s).

CAD Designer / Technician

We are currently seeking a full time CADD Designer/Technician. The successful candidate will be technically competent, flexible, client-focused and capable of performing a variety of civil engineering functions in support of a growing civil and environmental engineering firm. 

The work will entail working as a team member and independently on a variety of civil and environmental projects. Required Skills & Experience:

  • A high school diploma and specific training in CADD software is required; an associate’s degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred.  Equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered.  
  • Working knowledge of engineering principals and standards. Knowledge of computer software for office functions and operational functions.  Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Willingness to assist in a wide range of projects including construction related inspections.
  • Position may require occasional evening and weekend work schedule.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Note: Applicant must have and maintain a driving record acceptable to EEC and its insurance carrier(s).

We are currently seeking a full time Erosion and Sediment Control and SWPPP Inspector. The successful candidate will be technically competent, flexible, client-focused and capable of performing a variety of civil engineering functions in support of a growing civil and environmental engineering firm. 

The work will entail working as a team member and independently on a variety of civil and environmental projects. Required Skills & Experience:

  • Certified Virginia Stormwater and Erosion and Sediment Control Classes Certification preferred. Ability to attend Virginia Stormwater and Erosion and Sediment Control Classes and pass certification examinations required within 4 months (depending upon class availability).
  • A high school diploma is required. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of site civil construction principals and standards.
  • Knowledge of computer software for office functions. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Willingness to assist in a wide range of projects in addition to construction related inspections.
  • Position may require occasional evening and weekend work schedule.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
