Wyoming 765kV Substation Expansion
EEC provided civil and environmental engineering design services for the expansion of an existing 765kV substation in Wyoming County, West Virginia. Given site spacing restraints, two soil nail and shotcrete retaining walls are planned for construction to provide adequate expansion capabilities for the substation. Services consisted of site plan layout and design, grading, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, SWPPP permitting, and wetland and stream delineation and permitting. EEC has worked closely with design-build contractor Geostabilization International for the design and construction of the soil nail and shotcrete retaining walls.
